As an avid sports fan, I have developed a concept for a new kind of sports website, that occupies the intersection between sport, people and media.
Sports People Magazine was created out of a wish to redress the shortcomings in modern sports writing- the clickbait, the sensationalism, the hero-worship, the negativity, the story-chasing, and the downright bad writing.
Sport is about the everyday people who play it, coach it, watch it, facilitate it, and follow it.
These are their stories.
People's Action for Development (PAD) is a small non-profit based in Assam, India.
Since the start of 2023, I have helped shape their media and communications output, specifically targeting their website and social media content.
I migrated the organisation's website to a new easy-to-use back-end platform and redesigned content it to be more accessible on mobile.
I launched new Facebook and LinkedIn pages to increase the organisation's media footprint and managed the creation of content for these platforms.
I also provided assistance writing monthly reports, and managing communications with national and international NGOs, local and state government bodies and other partner organisations.
